Abstract
This Decree of the Republic of Slovenia, which is composed of ten articles, sets out the system to prevent, deter and eliminate illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU fishing) in accordance with Council Regulation (EC) No. 1005/2008 establishing a Community system to prevent, deter and eliminate illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing and Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1010/2009 laying down detailed rules for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No. 1005/2008 establishing a Community system to prevent, deter and eliminate illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing. This system applies to all IUU fishing and associated activities within the territory of the Republic of Slovenia, within maritime waters under the jurisdiction or sovereignty of third countries and on the high seas. The present Decree establishes also authorities competent for the implementation of these provisions and related offenses.
