Abstract
This Decree of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia lays down requirements for preventing or reducing the adverse impacts of the generation and management of waste oils in accordance with Directive 2008/98/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on waste and repealing certain Directives. Waste oils shall be prohibited (1) in impermeable containers for the collection of municipal waste; (2) poured into surface water, groundwater, coastal waters or drains; (3) discharged or poured in or on the ground. Remains of the processing of waste oils are prohibited from discharging or poured in or on the ground. Waste oils must not be mixed with waste oils which have different physical, chemical or hazardous nature, and with other wastes or substances or materials if such mixing impedes the processing of waste oils. The present Decree is composed of the following Sections: General provisions (Sec. 1); Rule of dealing with waste oils (Sec. 2); Obligations of the operator of waste oils (Sec. 3); Obligations of the distributor (Sec. 4); Obligations of colectors (Sec. 5); Obligations related to treatments of waste oils (Sec. 6); Control (Sec. 7); Penalty provisions (Sec. 8); Transitional and final provisions (Sec. 9).
