Law amending the Law on Forests.

This Law lays down the obligations of operators who place timber and timber products on the internal market for the first time, as well as the obligations of traders, in accordance with European Community regulations. It prohibits the placing on the market of illegally harvested timber or timber products derived from such timber. The authorities competent for the implementation of these provisions is the ministry responsible for forestry, forestry inspection and the Customs Administration of the Republic of Slovenia.
