Abstract
This Slovenian National plan for protection and rescue in the event of a nuclear accident defines the concept of response to such disasters and regulates the performance of tasks at the state level. The plan is divided into three parts: I. nuclear accident at the Krško Nuclear Power Plant (NEK); II. nuclear accident abroad with effects also in Slovenia; III. radiological accident in Slovenia. The aim of the plan is to reduce the consequences of these accidents, especially deterministic and stochastic effects of ionizing radiation.
