Operational program of greenhouse gases emission reduction measures by 2020.

This Operational program of greenhouse gases emission reduction measures planned until the year 2020 states that the Republic of Slovenia supports the international vision of preventing and containing the dangerous consequences of climate change global temperature rise below the 2 °C limit and it will actively contribute to the realization of this vision through the transition to an economy whose growth will not be based on increased use of natural resources and energy, but will reduce greenhouse gas emissions through efficiency and innovation, improved competitiveness and promoted growth and employment. Slovenia's goal until 2020 is that greenhouse gas emissions will not increase by more than 4% compared to 2005, or that in 2020 they will be less than the value of 12,117 kt CO2 eq3.
