Abstract
This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, which is composed of 14 articles and two Annexes, lays down conditions to be met by caseins and caseinates, and their mixtures in milk, which are intended for human consumption in accordance with Council Directive 83/417/EEC on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to certain lactoproteins (caseins and caseinates) intended for human consumption. Caseins are the main protein of milk, and caseinates are the products obtained from drying caseins treated with neutralizing agents. In particular, this Regulation provides details on marketing and labelling of these products. Annex 1 specifies standards for edible caseins, and Annex 2 specifies standards for edible caseinates.
