Abstract
This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, which is composed of four articles and three Annexes, lays down conditions and methods of decreasing the number of sampling units and sampling frequency of slaughter carcasses, minced meat and meat preparations. The food business operator of minced meat and meat products which meet the requirements specified in art. 5 of the Commission Regulation No. 2073/2005 on microbiological criteria for foodstuffs, and whose volume of production of minced meat or meat products does not exceed five tons per month, can reduce the sampling plans when sampling for salmonella in the manner set out in Annex 1. In case of meat products for direct consumption, food business operators whose monthly production volume is less than one tone, can reduce the sampling plans when sampling for salmonella in the manner set out in Annex 2.
