Abstract
This Regulation determines the conditions that animal feed must meet, depending on the purpose of use, for placing on the market, use, import and export in accordance with Directive 2002/32/EC of the European Parliament and the Council of 7 May 2002 on undesirable substances in animal feed.
This text further determines the way of informing the European Commission and other member states (about products for animal nutrition that do not meet the requirements of here prescribed, and the maximum values of the active ingredients of antimicrobial veterinary drugs and antiparasitics in non-target feed) as for the purposes of implementation of obligations that are deriving from related EU legislative documents, as listed in article 1 (paragraph 2).
These regulations also determine the microbiological criteria of feed, monitoring of the presence of mycotoxins and the use of reference values in products for animal nutrition, risk assessment and management of new risks with undesirable substances in feed.
The Annex is also part of this text (Annex 1: Minimum microbiological criteria for feed; Annex 2: Maximum limit values for active substances of antimicrobial veterinary medicinal products and antiparasitics in non-target feed).
