Abstract
This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food lays down specific rules on the hygiene of food of animal origin for food business operators. In particular, this Regulation specifies the contents of the application and registration procedure for establishments carrying out activities involving food of animal origin, and sets out the maximum allowable volume of food processing at the site of origin and the manner and conditions for approving retail establishments directly supplying the final consumer. The registration is mandatory for establishments in the area of primary production of food, establishments engaged in retail activity, establishments engaged in the storage of food which is not prescribed for temperature-controlled storage conditions, and means of the transportation of food. This Regulation is composed of 28 articles divided into the following Sections: General provisions (Sec. 1); Registration of establishments (Sec. 2); Approval (Sec. 3); Requirements for establishments (Sec. 4); Requirements for processing of food at the point of origin (Sec. 5); Transitional and final provisions (Sec. 6).
