Abstract
This Regulation sets out the conditions for the composition and necessary labelling of foodstuffs intended for use in human energy-restricted diets for weight loss purposes. The foods object of this text are foods used as a substitute for all daily food rations; foods used as a substitute for one or more daily meals. The marking, advertising and presentation of the products shall not indicate the degree or amount of weight lost as a result of their use (article 6).
This Regulation is in accordance with the provisions of the Commission Directive 96/8/EC of 26 February 1996 on foods intended for use in energy-restricted diets for weight reduction; and Commission Directive 2007/29/EC of 30 May 2007 amending Directive 96/8/EC as regards labelling, advertising or presenting foods intended for use in energy-restricted diets for weight reduction.
The Annex is part of this publication (list containing the possible composition and nutritional values of foods for energy restricted diets; list of amino acid composition-reference proteins).
Entry into force notes
This Regulation enter into force on the fifteenth day after its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia and shall apply from 1 January 2001.
