Abstract
This Regulation sets out procedures for the implementation of European Union documents and their parameters as regards the radioactive contamination of food and feed. See the list of these documents, present in article 1.
Article 2 determines that the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food and the Customs Administration of the Republic of Slovenia shall be responsible for the implementation of regulations referred to in article 1. Information concerning the implementation of this Regulation shall be transmitted to the European Commission by the ministry responsible for health and the ministry responsible for agriculture, forestry and food, each in accordance with their respective competences.
Article 3 indicates the relevant national official control and inspection bodies. Paragraph 3 mentions the penalty provisions in relation to the non-compliance with rules of the Council Regulation (EEC) No 737/90 of 22 March 1990 on the conditions governing imports of agricultural products originating in third countries following the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power-station. Article 4 lists the related penalty provisions.
