Abstract
The purpose of this Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food and the Minister of Health is to ensure that zoonoses, zoonotic agents and related antimicrobial resistance are properly monitored, and that food-borne outbreaks receive proper epidemiological investigation, to enable the analysis and exchange of information related to zoonoses and zoonotic agents in the Republic of Slovenia. For the purposes of these provisions zoonosis means a disease or infection naturally transmissible directly or indirectly between animals and humans. Zoonotic agent means any virus, bacterium, fungus, parasite or other biological entity, which is likely to cause zoonosis. This Regulation is composed of 11 articles divided into the following Sections: General provisions (Sec. 1); Monitoring of zoonoses and zoonotic agents (Sec. 2); Antimicrobial resistance (Sec. 3); Food-borne outbreaks (Sec. 4); Laboratories (Sec. 5); Information exchange (Sec. 6); Final provisions (Sec. 7).
