Abstract
This Regulation lays down the method of sampling and the method of measuring the temperatures of frozen foodstuffs, used in carrying out official controls in the production and marketing of frozen foodstuffs. The sampling procedure and the method of measuring the temperatures of frozen foodstuffs shall be carried out in accordance with the procedures described in Annexes 1 and 2, which form an integral part of this Regulation. The measurement method set out in Annex 2 shall be used only in cases where the health inspector has reasonable doubts as to the results of determining deviations from the temperature limits of frozen foodstuffs obtained under internal control in accordance with the legislation governing the safety of frozen foodstuffs. Other scientifically valid methods may be used for the official control of frozen foods, provided that this does not impede the free movement of frozen foods, provided that they meet the temperature conditions laid down in the legislation governing the safety of frozen foods.
