Abstract
This Regulation determines the official maximum levels and limit values for pesticide residues in or on foods of plant and animal origin and related agricultural products; and further defines official controls and responsibilities for the verification of the conformity assessment of pesticide content in or on food and agricultural products, including the procedures and actions of authorities responsible for the performance of official controls.
These rules shall apply to: food of animal origin as set out in Annex I and pesticide residues as set out in Annex II to Council Directive 86/363/EEC; cereals set out in Annex I and pesticide residues set out in Annex II to Council Directive 86/362 /EEC; fruit and vegetables set out in Annex I and the pesticide residues set out in Annex II to Council Directive 76/895/EEC; products of plant origin, including fruit and vegetables, set out in Annex I and pesticide residues set out in Annex II to Council Directive 90/642/EEC.
The Annex is also part of this publication (sampling procedures).
