Abstract
The Strategy for adaptation of Slovenian agriculture and forestry to climate change aims at making the Slovenian agriculture an forestry sectors resilient to climate change. Specific, technical options are subsequently laid out. Concrete measures in the public and private sectors are very diverse, e.g. water protection, efficient use of sufficient water resources; changes in crop rotation and sowing dates, use of drought-resistant crops, maintaining the adaptive capacity of forest tree species to changes in the environment, adapting the management of natural ecosystems and taking action in the event of disturbances, public planning and public awareness; or even drag protection and resettlement measures. Measures are also needed in the public sector, e.g. adapting space use or updating strategies for dealing with possible natural disasters and the early system iso-irradiation.
