Act no. 245/2003 on integrated environmental pollution and prevention control and amending and supplementing certain acts.

The Act is composed of the following Sections: Primary provisions (sec. 1); Integrated permission (sec. 2); Pollution control (sec. 3); Public administration (sec. 4); Temporary and final provisions (sec. 5). The Act establishes: integrated prevention and pollution control of the environment; rights and obligations of operators of industrial plants; tasks of public administration organs concerning integrated prevention and pollution control; information system of integrated prevention and pollution control; conditions of technical abilities for offering technical consultancy concerning integrated prevention and pollution control. Integrated prevention and pollution control are defined as the set of actions dedicated to prevent pollution, reduce emission to the air, water and soil, limit generation of wastes, neutralize and dispose wastes with the aim to get high level of the environmental protection.
