Act No. 81/2025 ensuring the implementation of certain European Union measures to mitigate global deforestation.

This Act implements European Union measures to address global deforestation, focusing on commodities such as beef, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, rubber, soy, and wood. It establishes the responsibilities of Slovak authorities regarding the placement and export of these commodities, sets conditions for the import of timber products from partner countries, and defines procedures for controlling and licensing the import and export activities. The present Act emphasizes traceability and origin verification of wood products on the Slovak market and assigns the Ministry of Agriculture a key role in overseeing the compliance processes involved in the importation of wood products.
