Abstract
This Act, which is composed of 20 paragraphs and eight Annexes, lays down: (a) conditions for the marketing of fertilizers, growing substrates and soil improvers to modify the properties of soil; (b) certification of fertilizers; (c) conditions for the storage and use of fertilizers, secondary sources of nutrients and compost; (d) conditions for agrochemical testing of agricultural land and the identification of the soil properties of forest land; (e) conditions of management in vulnerable areas; (f) competence of the state administration bodies in the field of fertilizers, growing substrates and soil auxiliaries; (g) fines for breaching of the obligations laid down by this Act. Only fertilizers which have been certified and registered in the register of certified fertilizers may be placed on the market.
