Hunting Act No. 274/2009.

This Act, which is composed of 84 articles and three Annexes, establishes: (a) conditions of conservation of biodiversity and healthy populations of wildlife and its natural habitats; (b) recognition, changes and usage of hunting zones; (c) hunting management, planning and documentation; (d) protection of hunting and animals, care for animals, improvement of living conditions of animals and competence of hunting guard; (e) creation, registration and termination of hunting organizations; (f) organization, competence and status of Slovak hunting chamber; (g) conditions of hunting and game utilization; (h) compensation of damage caused by hunting or game; (i) competence of state administration in the hunting area and state supervision in hunting; (j) liability for breach of the obligations established by this Act. This Act does not apply to those individuals of equine animals which are kept in farmed and considered as livestock.
