Order of the Government on some Preserved Areas of Natural Accumulation of the Water.

This Order of the Government of the Slovak Republic concerns the creation and management of water reserve areas in compliance with the Water Act. Article 3 lists the activities that are prohibited in preserved water management areas, and these include building or enlarging industrial plants and activities, warehouses, sanitation and veterinary facilities; distributing by air pesticides; reducing the forested area or draining of agricultural lands in the area. The Order also specifies the responsibilities of individuals and organization in water protection areas. Other provisions concern the enforcement of the order (article 5) and the management of water flow in the areas (article 6). The Order is completed by an annex that specifies the borders of the water protection areas.
