Ordinance laying down requirements for the marketing of vegetable seed and seedlings.

This Government Ordinance, which is composed of 18 articles and two Annexes, lays down: requirements for vegetable seed and seedlings to be satisfied for their marketing; requirements on the characteristics and quality of vegetable seed and seedling; requirements for the production of vegetable seed and seedlings; conditions of importation of vegetable seed and seedlings from countries which are not European Union member states; details on the packaging and labeling of packages of vegetable seed and seedlings; details on the laboratory activities, registration of suppliers and the competence of suppliers, control and monitoring of suppliers; the manner and extent of control of the Central Control and Testing Institute of Agriculture. This Ordinance does not apply to vegetable seed and seedlings intended for export to third countries. Annex 1 specifies the list of harmful organisms and diseases which affect the quality of listed varieties of vegetables.
