The National Early Warning and Response Mechanism Centre Act, no. 9 of 2025.

This Act establishes the National Early Warning and Response Mechanism Centre, in order to warn on issues relating to human security and peace in Sierra Leone and to provide for other related matters. The Act focuses on the composition of the Centre, and the specification of its functions: collecting, centralising and analysing data or information provided by public institutions, local authorities, Civil Society Organisations, the ECOWAS Regional Early Warning and Response Centres; activating national early warning and response mechanism towards potential challenges or threat to human security and peace through reports; recommending response options following an in- depth analysis of challenges or threats to human security and peace; collaborating with relevant institutions on matters relating to all forms of human insecurity and organised criminal activities; tracking and evaluating response efforts by the relevant institutions or actors to identify challenges or threats to human security and peace; undertaking strategic research on issues posing threat to human security and peace; performing any other function that is ancillary to the object of the Centre. The Act covers the following matters: administrative provisions; functions of the executive Director; financing measures and funds of the Centre.
