Standards and Guidelines for Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Services in Health Care Facilities in Sierra Leone.

These Guidelines and Standards provide for water, sanitation, and hygiene services in healthcare facilities across Sierra Leone, and therefore move from the consideration that clean water and sanitation are critical for infection prevention and control. The Guidelines and Standards are based on community involvement and high-quality materials utilisation, and focus on: water quality standards; water supply and water abstraction methods; monitoring and treatment of water quality; wastewater and sanitation disposal; health care waste management and solid waste treatment; storm water drainage system; storage and transportation of waste.
