Decree Law No. 44 concerning urgent measures to contain COVID-19 (coronavirus).

The DL is organised is 5 Articles. Art. 1 contains miscellaneous containment measures, Art. 2 information and prevention measures, Art. 3 lays down the discipline for requisition of property, Art. 4 is on monitoring and Art. 5 final disposition. lThe provisions contained in the DL produce effect, unless otherwise established, from the 14th of March to the 6th of April.
Under Art. 1 establishes a general ban on movement for people within the Republic and for those entering and leaving the Republic boarders, unless justified by work, health, and necessity reasons, or for returning to their house of residence; recommends employers to facilitate benefit of long service leave or any other leave opportunities not previously used and to facilitate the working from home when possible; limits food retail sector activities (restaurant, bar and pub) including catering and home delivery services between 6am and 6pm, grants the exercise of other commercial activities at the condition that they allow access with contingent modalities.
