Abstract
The present Decree lays down provisions in matter of food hygiene and establishes rules governing checks to be carried out to ensure compliance with such food hygiene requirements. The measures hereby established shall apply at all stages of production, processing, transformation, packaging, storage and transport of food products. All establishments engaged in the production of food products shall implement a programme on hygiene procedures (art. 4) and shall comply with the principles upon which the HACCP system is based (art. 5). Article 9 sets out administrative sanctions.
