Memorandum of Understanding·between the Government of the Republic of Kenya and the Transitional Federal Government of the Somali Republic to Grant to Each Other No-Objection in Respect of Submissions on the Outer Limits of the Continental Shelf beyond 200 Nautical Miles to the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf.

This Memorandum of Understanding between Kenya and Somalia affirms that the two coastal States are determined to work together to safeguard and promote their common interest with respect to the establishment of the outer limits of the continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles. The Agreement concerns the manner and procedures for the submission to Secretary-General of the United Nations of cliams or other information regarding the limits of the Continental shelf that also affect an "area under dispute".
