Abstract
This Memorandum of Understanding between Kenya and Somalia affirms that the two coastal States are determined to work together to safeguard and promote their common interest with respect to the establishment of the outer limits of the continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles. The Agreement concerns the manner and procedures for the submission to Secretary-General of the United Nations of cliams or other information regarding the limits of the Continental shelf that also affect an "area under dispute".
