Act amending the Pesticides Act, 1972 (No. 18 of 2005).

This Act amends the Pesticides Act with respect to the importation of pesticides and in particular the prohibition placed on the negative list of the Food and Agriculture Organization. It is prohibited to import, to have in stock, sell or use for, among others, agricultural purposes pesticides that are included on the negative list. The Minister may, in accordance with the Ministers in charge of Health and the Environment, by State Decree declare other prohibited pesticides.
