Abstract
This Act regulates the imposition of duties on exportation of timber from Suriname. The duty is calculated on the foreign trade value of the timber as calculated at least once a year by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. The duty shall be paid at the moment of submission of the notification of exportation. The notification shall mention quantity, type and value of the timber to be exported. Timber shall only be exported after inspection by customs officers. Penal provisions are included. (9 sections)
