Coastal Fisheries Decree, 1981.

This Decree, implementing articles 14, 15 and 24 of the Sea Fisheries Decree, 1980, provides for measures regulating coastal fisheries. The Decree defines coastal fishing as fishing activity in the fishing zone with fishing vessels with a gross volume below 50 cubic meters, which fish only close to the coast with floating gill nets, temporary nets, hand lines and longlines, or other fishing equipment permitted by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries. The Decree concerns: fishing with small fishing vessels; granting of a permit for coastal fishing; registration of fishing vessels.
