Abstract
This Decision, having regard to articles 4, 6 and 13 of the Pesticides Act 1972 (in its last amended version), and to articles 6 and 7 of the Pesticides Decree (2005), provides for adopting the guidelines on the labelling of pesticides, whose objective is to ensure permanence and integrity of information and prevent tampering or removal of regulatory information. According to the Decision, the label must include and contain: trade name, active substances and their concentration, formulation type of pesticide, net quantity, other ingredients, toxicity (LD50), hazard symbols, safety recommendations, safety interval authorised crops and target pests/diseases, correct dosage (SI units), method and timing of use, disposal instructions for empty packaging first aid instructions and antidote (if applicable), environmental effects, manufacturer details, importer details, batch number and expiry date, storage instructions. Further matters include: language of labels; small packaging exception; prohibition of misleading information; sanctions.
