Abstract
This Order appoints the head of the National Forest Service as the CITES Management Authority and specifies its tasks and duties, including: preparing a biennial report on the legal and administrative measures taken to implement the Convention; coordinating the implementation and enforcement of the Convention at the national level and cooperating with other international Management Authorities; consulting with the CITES Scientific Authority on the setting and management of quotas, the registration of traders and production activities and the preparation of proposals to amend the CITES Appendices; promoting awareness, training, education and information regarding the Convention; providing the documents required under the CITES Convention in connection with the import and export of the animal and plant species referred to in the said Convention and setting conditions where necessary; maintaining data on international trade in specimens and preparing an annual report on such trade.
