Resolution of August 6, 2018 No. 8537/18, establishing Plan Units in each Ministry.

This Resolution establishes the Ministerial Plan Unit for each Ministry, in order to allow the organisation of the functions of each Ministry. The Plan Unit harmonises ministerial policy and planning with the Development Plan and Annual Plans. According to the Resolution the duties of each Plan Unit are: facilitating policy departments in project identification and development; producing opinions regarding the feasibility of Ministry programmes, after reviewing them against the Development; establishing indicators for monitoring and evaluation, in close cooperation with relevant policy departments; assisting in conducting programme or project evaluation based on pre-established national criteria, procedures and methods; assisting the Minister and the Departments in preparing the Ministry's budget and annual plan; advising regarding the allocation or commitment of funds derived from international funding sources; carrying out research and analysis.
