Law No. 05/2023 establishing the Great Options of the Plan for the Economic Year 2023.

This Law approves the Great Options of the Plan for the Economic Year 2023. The Plan integrates programmes and policy measures and actions that the Government recommends to implement. The Plan establishes the economic and financial policy priorities and the Government's annual programme for the period. The priority areas of intervention, recommended in the Great Options for the economic year 2023, are based on the areas of transport infrastructure, water and electricity supply to populations, improvements in access and quality of provision of health services, focusing on consolidating the gains made in recent decades in the field of education, improving agricultural production and combating food insecurity, promoting the tourism sector, supporting the private sector, especially young entrepreneurs and those with business initiatives, as well as in acceleration of Justice Sector reform.
The guidelines for the Major Options of the Plan are those defined by the Government for the current Legislature, namely: Adoption and implementation of measures to improve the purchasing power of populations and restore their confidence and halt physical and economic degradation; Recovery of abandoned, destroyed and poorly maintained physical, economic and social infrastructures, so that the productive and rural development process resumes its normal course; Adoption and implementation of measures that allow a better functioning of public institutions, in the most diverse sectors; Execution of a programme that ensures sustainable and inclusive development.
