Law No. 4/2003 on Cultural and Natural Heritage.

This Law, composed of 105 articles, regulates the protection and management of cultural and natural heritage, defined as all material and immaterial goods, public or private, which shall be considered of relevant interest for the preservation of identity and the vaporization of national culture in the long-term. The Law defines protection duties for central and local authorities and provides a classification of cultural and natural heritage. Moreover, it regulates registration and zoning of protected areas.
