Agreement on technical, economic and commercial cooperation between Syria and Venezuela of 30 August 2006 ratified by Legislative Decree No. 2 of 11 July 2007.

This Agreement aims at the development and activation the technical, commercial and economic cooperation between the two Parties. It is composed of 14 articles. Article 1 invites the two Parties to take all necessary measures and arrangements for the facilitation, development and encouragement of the economic, commercial and technical cooperation between their Countries in especially in fields of energy, irrigation, agriculture, industry, transport, petroleum, construction and trade. Articles 3 and 4 deal with customs taxes. Articles 5 to 8 provide for the following matters: definition of rules and arrangements for the importation and exportation between the two Parties; payment and currencies; and, issuance of licences for the importation and exportation. Article 10 invites the two Parties to facilitate and encourage their participation in international markets and exhibitions. Article 12 and 13 pertain to the establishment and management of the Joint Committee for the implementation of this Agreement.
