Legislative Decree No.21 of 2013 amending the Legislative Decree No.114 of 2011 establishing a fund to mitigate the effects of drought and natural disasters on agricultural production.

This Legislative Decree consisting of 4 articles aims at amending some articles, as follows (i) article 3: changes the percentage (from 10% to 5%) of the damaged farmland area entitled to compensation, giving the details; (ii) article 12: Fund's sources of funding only remain (1) credits allocated annually in the State budget; and (2) contributions of the Farmers' Union (25 million Syrian Pounds, which is paid once when the Fund is established); and (iii) article 13, which adds that the Fund's compensation shall be paid to eligible farmers irrespective of their debts to the Agricultural Cooperative Bank.
