Abstract
This Resolution defines conditions and requirements for the transportation of red meat between Syrian provinces. These conditions and requirements are: (a) carcasses of goats and sheep must not be kept whole; (b) carcasses of bovines and camels must be cut into quarters; (c) the animal must be slaughtered in an authorized slaughter-house; (d) carcasses must be marked with the stamp of an authorized slaughter-house; (e) transport of meat must be in special refrigerators and (f) the means of transport for carcasses must be accompanied by the bill of lading. Slaughter-houses of the consignee province must verify the exactness of the attached data, bill of lading and hygienic conditions of meat. Transgressors will be punished by Law No. 123 of 1960 on supply and price fixing. The Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade will issue implementing regulations for this Resolution.
