Abstract
This Regulation provides for the establishment of environmental cooperatives. It consists of 6 Chapters divided into 46 articles. Chapter I lays down provisions concerning names, seats and objectives of cooperatives. Objectives of Cooperatives shall be: (a) creation of environmental awareness and consciousness, and protection of natural resources; (b) cooperation with competent ministries, departments, national organizations in exchange of experience, as well as carrying out activities related to environmental protection; and, (c) organization of meetings, conferences, researches and publications concerning environmental awareness and consciousness (art. 1). Article 2 prohibits cooperatives to interfere in religious doctrines and political affairs. Chapters II-VI deal with the management and internal organization of cooperatives in particular: membership, requirements and conditions for members; general assembly; board; finance; and dissolution of cooperatives.
