Resolution No. 158/T of 2017 defining the technical conditions governing the circulation and manufacture of fertilizers.

This Resolution consisting of 26 articles aims at regulating the manufacture and circulation, after obtaining the permit, of fertilizers in the country. It defines the different kinds of fertilizers. Article 2 provides for the technical conditions for manufacturing and circulating mineral, organic and bio-fertilizers. Article 3 deals with the required laboratory analysis according to the different types of fertilizer. Article 6 regards the registration at the Land and Water Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, necessary for import, export, circulation, and manufacturing of fertilizers. Article 7 states that for the import and export of fertilizers it is also required a pre-approval from the Land and Water Directorate and explains the procedures in detail. The requirements for fertilizer manufacturing plants and facilities are the subject of article 10. The section dedicated to the regulation of import and use of the plant growth regulators is in article 11.
