Resolution No. 18/T defining requirements and conditions for the importation of pesticides.

The aim of this Resolution is to regulate the importation of pesticides. It is composed of 11 articles. Article 1 deals with terms and definitions. Article 2 allows the importation of pesticides from companies producing active materials and processing commercial preparations in countries with an integrated system for toxicological, biological, sanitary, environmental and agricultural tests. Article 3 defines requirements and conditions for the importation of pesticides from countries without an integrated system for carrying out the aforementioned tests. Article 4 allows the importation or introduction of pesticides on the condition that the pesticide is registered at the Ministry of Agriculture. Articles 6 to 8 deal with the importation of pesticides from companies non producers of active materials. Article 10 subjects pesticides produced by new companies to the control by a scientific committee.
