Resolution No. 2509/W of 1995 establishing the High Committee for Biodiversity and Genetics.

This Resolution decrees the establishment of the High Committee for Biodiversity and Genetics. The hereby Committee is composed of the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation as a president and other 8 members from the different ministers and administrations. The competencies of the Committee are: preparation the necessary plans and programmes for preservation and protection of the biodiversity and genetics of animals and plants; establishment of technical committees necessary for carrying out plans and programmes; monitoring on the projects related to the biodiversity and genetics, cooperation between the different ministers, administrations, committees, Arab organizations and national and international organizations interested in this field.
