Resolution No. 606 of the Ministry of Irrigation defining the boundaries of Ghazala Spring and designating it as a protected area in order to prevent pollution.

This Resolution is composed of 6 articles. The Ghazal Spring located in the Province of Diraá, with boundaries defined as in the topographic map kept by competent departments, is to be considered a protected area (art. 1). All agricultural, industrial, commercial and tourist activities in the aforementioned area shall be prohibited. The prohibited activities shall include: random use of pesticides and fertilizers; use of sewage water for irrigation; creation of dumps for waste disposal; creation of stone quarries; and discharge of oil, combustibles and radioactive materials (arts. 2-4).
