Resolution No. 67/T of 2008 establishing the judicial police for the implementation of Law No. 26 of 2007 and related implementing Resolutions.

This Resolution is composed of 11 articles. Article 1 entrust staff members of first categories of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform to the control and monitor the implementation of Law No. 25 of 2007 and related Resolutions. Article 2 deals with the legal oath by the Judicial Police. Articles 3 and 4 specify competencies and duties of the Judicial Police in particular: inspection and control of agricultural lands, plants and plant products in fields, silos, stores, imported, exported and in transit; treatment of plant and plant products; to ensure the safe disposal of waste of means of transport coming to Syria; to issue plant sanitary certificates; and, spreading and diffusion of information related to pests. Articles 5 to 11 contain general provisions.
