Resolution No.629 of 2007 to form Basin Management Committees.

This Resolution consisting of 4 articles aims at establishing a Basin Management Committee in every province of Syria. It indicates its members and tasks. Its main task is to implement the policy announced by the High Committee for Water at the provincial level. It is also responsible for addressing environmental degradation, water pollution and water deficit problems, in coordination with the concerned authorities, and rationalizing the use of water and water consumption in irrigation.
