Game (Amendment) Act, 1991 (Act No. 4 of 1991).

The amendments here made to the principal Act deal with various matters including: temporary protection of game (sect. 4); sanctuaries (sect. 6); prohibition of hunting and dealing in specially protected and royal game (sect. 8); licences to hunt game during open season (sect. 9); illegal hunting of game or possession of trophy, confiscation and disposal of arms, ammunition, etc (sect. 12); use of aeroplanes (sect. 13); privileges and rights of landowners, etc (sect. 15); free permits (sect. 16); export and import of game trophies, etc. (sect. 19); prohibition of trespass in pursuit of game (sect. 21); right of search (sect. 22); evidence (sect. 24); and penalties (sect. 26). The new sections provide for miscellaneous matters including measures of enforcement. The Minister may appoint a committee consisting of such members as he may determine to monitor the administration and enforcement of this Act and to advise him from time to time (sect. 30).
