Abstract
The Plan is a comprehensive plan detailing strategies and programs to transform the economy and improve the lives of the people in Eswatini. The Plan focus on macroeconomic stability, sectoral developments, and integration of climate change into development planning. The document emphasises the importance of good governance as the foundation for economic recovery, green growth, and sustainable livelihoods in Eswatini and addresses the economic challenges faced by this country, including fiscal crisis, high unemployment, and the impacts of COVID-19 and political unrest. The text highlights six strategic policy initiatives aimed at economic recovery, including fiscal consolidation, human capital development, infrastructure strengthening, and private sector promotion. The Plan is designed in 12 Chapters and provides for, among others, pursuing green growth for economic recovery, sustainability and resilience; macroeconomic framework for economic stabilisation and growth; good governance; enhanced and dynamic private sector; enhanced social and human capital development; efficient public service delivery; well managed natural resources; financing; and risk management.
