Abstract
The National Youth Policy 2009 (NYP 2009)'s goal is to improve health education and quality of life for young people in Swaziland by 2012 through an enabling environment and meaningful participation in national development.
For each problem statement the NYP 2009 identifies specific objectives and strategies. Problem Statements include poverty and unemployment; environment and sustainable development; participation, partnership & leadership; among others.
Poverty reduction and unemployment especially in the rural areas is a one of the strategic proprieties addressed by the Policy; several initiatives and programmes listed to create a conducive environment to talk these issues.
Guidelines for implementation and governance of the policy can be found in the last chapter.
