Abstract
This Act confers the right on the South African Stud Book Association to (a) to register pedigrees of farm livestock bred in or imported into Swaziland; (b) to the exclusion of any other person or body of persons in Swaziland to issue certificates of registration of pedigrees of farm livestock and to publish such pedigrees in the form of stud, herd or flock books. Rights similar to those conferred on the Association under the preceding subsection may mutatis mutandis be conferred by the Minister by notice in the Gazette on any breed record society or livestock society which is incorporated in the Republic of South Africa, and is affiliated to the Association. Such rights may be suspended such period and subject to such conditions as the Minister for Agriculture thinks fit.
The Act prohibits the making of any false statement or wilfully or negligently withholding any information in relation to the pedigree of any farm livestock intended for registration with the Association. It shall also be prohibited to issue false statement in respect of livestock as to pedigree.
