Abstract
This Act, comprising 7 articles, prohibits selling, offering, or possessing adulterated or harmful food, liquor, or medicine for trade, defined as products mixed with or containing substances that impair their quality. Violations are punishable by fines or imprisonment, except in cases involving grain, potatoes, fruits, vegetables, or eggs if a sample can be provided. Article 5 mandates the immediate seizure and destruction of adulterated or unsafe food, liquor, or medicine without compensation. Licensed dealers, shopkeepers, and hawkers must store foodstuffs in a dedicated, clean, and ventilated space, separate from sleeping areas or stables, with violations subject to fines, imprisonment, or license revocation.
