Abstract
For the purpose of the present Act «fish agent activities» means, inter alia, a) granting loans of money; b) undertaking to act as agent for the sale of fishery merchandise of other persons; c) sale of fishery merchandise by means of sale by auction; d) the activities of trading in fishery merchandise. Section 5 establishes the Fish Marketing Organization responsible for: 1) carrying on and bringing about prosperity among the fish wholesale market, the market for fishery merchandise and fishery industry; 2) carrying on or controlling and directing the services concerning the activities of the market for fish agents; 3) promoting the welfare or occupation of fishermen and improving fishing villages; 4) promoting fishing co-operative societies or associations. The text consists of 42 sections divided into 4 chapters as follows: Fish Marketing Organization (1); Fish agent activities (2); Penalties (3); Transitory provisions (4).
